"Is tu gra mo croi." Jayden's Rowena, or Rowena (meaning: "White Mane") is the name of the beautiful black and white freckled Border Collie that I have raised and trained to become my service dog. She has given me something that many care providers have never been able to give me... an increase in my level of functioning that has enabled me to become a more active member of my community. This is a journal of the triumphs and trials of our wonderful partnership.

"A Day with Benny & Crystal" by Rowena (and Heather, her human)
Rosie trying to play herding games with Benny, a dog bigger than her! (She is usually playing with a Puggle.)
"One Dog Playing"
"I found a stick!!"
"Where's Benny?"
"Benny??"
"Hmmmph... Oh well. I'll have to find another large stick without him."
Here is a little slide show, with photos and video clips from Rosie and Benny's playdate in Saxl Park:

My Review of Granite Gear High Visibility Coat

Enhance your dogs safety by putting this reflective, bright yellow Granite Gear coat on him.
Granite Gear High Visibility Coat
Great Dog Coat!
By Helgerquest from Bangor, Maine on 1/22/2009Gift: No
Sizing: Feels half size too small
Pros: Washes Well, Fun, Easy to Put On, Good Quality, Good cold wet climates
Cons: Reflective unstitching
Best Uses: Outdoors, Harsh Weather, Medium Dogs
Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner, Service Dog handler
This coat is great for our cold, wet and snowy winter climate. Great water reppellency, wind reppellency, fleece lined for warmth. I have 2 for my dog, one with service dog patches and one without for playtime. They are 3 years old now and the velcro is still good on both... just keep them fastened when not in use, and when in wash. I like the wide bands that fasten the coat onto the dog as it adds to the warmth of the coat. Would be nice to have more chest protection though. Great product!
